About ASCLCR

The Mission: To promote awareness of sickle cell disease, educate the community about the effects of the disease, promote sickle cell testing, to act as a referral service for the community resources, and ensure that sickle cell clients live a better quality of life.

The Goal: To work with medical, and social services to improve the care of sickle cell clients in Columbus and West Central Georgia District and to ensure clients a better quality of life.

Our Work: To serve West Central Georgia Harris, Talbot, Taylor, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion, Macon, Schley, Stewart, Webster, Sumter, Dooly, Crisp, Quitman, Randolph, and Clay counties educating communities about the sickle cell disease.

Be A Dear and Volunteer

  1. Become an Associate Member.
  2. Become a Support Group member.
  3. Make and phone calls.
  4. Assist with emails.
  5. Transport clients to and from medical appointments.
  6. Advocacy.
