What is Sickle Cell Disease?

- It is a genetic blood disorder that affects the shape and function of red blood cells. It causes pain, anemia, infections, and other serious health complications.

Why Awareness Matters:

-Early diagnosis and treatment can improve quality of life

-Educating communities helps reduce stigma and supports research efforts.

2025 must be in the fast lane because it is speeding on by! September will be here before you know it. So go ahead and save the date for our 30th Annual Sickle Cell Walk-A-Thon. This will be one for the books

Sickle Cell Support Group

Join us for our monthly Sickle Cell Support Group meetings. The meeting is every 2nd Tuesday of the month. We host these meetings at Piedmont Conference Center at 6:00pm. The support group meeting is open to the public. Any warriors and their supporters are welcomed. Light refreshments will be served.
